Finally , New Music

Hello fearless farm fans! I have finally completed the labour of love that is to be my third album , "This Good Ground" and am working on the artwork for the cover. I hope to have it ready for distribution before Christmas. The recording features my Morgan guitar and the guitar wizardry of Nashville veterans Danny Parks and Joe Spivey. Both of these talented dudes also play other instruments on the album. On backing vocals , recorded in Winnipeg at Dan Donahue's Lion's Den studios Ruth Moody lent her considerable talents to the project. If you don't know Ruth's work get on your google horse and find the Wailin Jennys. They are incredible ! These women write beautiful songs and sing them divinely. And in Nashville Lydia Salnikova graced my songs with her voice and style. Yes her name sounds Russian ! Do you remember hearing that MCA Nashville had signed a Russian Country Band named Bering Strait? Lydia was front and center in that group of extremely talented , classically trained young folks. My thanks to Nashville producer Kim Copeland for that discovery. What an amazing voice. I am priviledged to have these two women singing along with me and will treasure forever the memories of those tracks going down. You can listen to the title track of the album on this web-site. It will be for sale soon with links from this site as well. Bye for Now, Paul
